Met Ser Asn Arg His Ile Leu Leu Val Tyr Phe Arg Gln

combine purple and white = purple

started with all purple (red and blue)

Hypothesis: In the structure of the amino acid. The more hydrophobic a structure the more likely i will develop a color.

The Experiment: We altered the purple protein.

The Results: We saw a change in structure and color of the alleles depending on the hydrophobicity of the amino acid that was alered.

Conclusion: Our hypothesis is correct with our conclusion.

Hypothesis-based on what amino acids are present at spots 10 and 11 in the protein, we know what can make the flower blue or red.  We should be able to combine parts of the two proteins to make a mix that shows a purple protein.

Experiment-we found a bunch of slightly different ways to make a protein give an allele for either blue or red.  we then tried different combinations that could possibly give us a purple protein.

result-we used Tyrosine from the blue protein in position 10 and Phenyalanine from the red protein in position 11 to create this protein

Conclusion-we were riht with our hypothesis.
